Today, we marked the beginning of Lent, with Ash Wednesday Mass. Thank you to Canon Emerson for marking this occasion, and for helping us to set our intentions for the weeks ahead, in preparation for Easter. Thank you to all of our pupils who added to the Mass through their participation in readings, prayers of the faithful and offertory procession. A very special word of thanks to P7 pupils Meghan, Sophie, Phoebe, Clodagh, Daithi & Conor who assisted Canon Emerson in the distribution of ashes to our P4-7 classes. They did so with reverence and confidence, a sign of their maturity and readiiness to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next week. P1-3 received a special blessing from Canon Emerson in school.
