At our Term 2 AR Assembly celebration today, we patted ourselves on the back for a fantastic 72,416,402 words read so far this year in KS2. We recognised our Top 5 word counts for boys and for girls, with our top girl, Dasha in P5B, becoming a triple word millionaire having read 3,028,977 words. We now have 11 word millionaires in KS2. Congratulations to you all. How many more will we have by the end of the year? We also recognised 16 children for average percentage accuracy in their quizzes greater than 95% with a high engaged reading time. And if that wasn’t enough, teachers also nominated a Star Reader for their great efforts and achievements to ensure reading success. Those children achieving or exceeding their points target in term 2 and reading with 85-100% accuracy were also awarded certificates in class. Let’s keep up the good work everyone and keep READING!
