On 25th September, our LSAs, and Mr McShane, were successfully trained in the delivery of ‘Toe by Toe- a highly structured, phonics-based reading programme,’ to support children in overcoming reading difficulties. Facilitated by Mr Bill Lynch, Toe by Toe trainer, they completed their face-to-face course, were awarded their certificates, and will now implement the programme with selected children across our school. Thank you to Mr Lynch for the valuable training, and to our wonderful Learning Support Assistants, and Mr McShane, for their enthusiasm, and willingness to deliver this programme to our pupils. This was also National Classroom Assistants’ Day, and we take the opportunity to thank them for all that they do every day to support our pupils, teachers and our school.
