Today, Primary 2-Primary 7 gathered together in St. Comgall’s Church for our opening school year Mass to dedicate our work, our friendships and our fun to God this year. We were delighted to meet Fr Mulholland as he celebrated our first whole school Mass of the year. Fr Muholland asked us to reflect on the words of Pope Francis when he visited Ireland in 2018 for the World Meeting of Families, and asked everyone to remember the importance of saying ‘please’, ‘thank you’ and ‘sorry.’ If we all remember those words, our school will be a wonderful place in which to work and play this year. Thank you to our readers, pupils who read the Prayers of the Faithful and those who led the Offertory Procession, and to all of our pupils who joined in marvellously uplifting singing throughout the Mass. As we near the end of September, we ask God ‘to begin our year with us, be with us during it, and successfully bring it to its conclusion.’
