Today in St Comgall’s, we celebrated Grandparents’ Day as part of Catholic Schools Week. After a beautiful Mass with Cn. Emerson we welcomed our Grandparents to school for tea and treats as well as coming to visit us all in our classrooms. Everyone was so excited to meet their Grandparents and take them to see their class and the learning they are completing in school. We appreciate our Grandparents and all they do for us. Today was a day to recognise the important role our grandparents play in our lives, in nurturing us, supporting and encouraging our talents and in handing on the faith from one generation to the next. “Grandparents have such a special role to play in sharing friendship across generations. They find common ground that all can enjoy. They encourage children to be their best selves through love shared and time given.”
