At our AR assembly, we celebrated reading a whopping 28,628,218 words this term in KS2! We celebrated our Top 5 highest word counts for girls and boys in Term 1. We congratulated children with a high average percentage correct comprehension score (+95%), in their quizzes with high engaged reading times. Teachers selected a Star Reader who demonstrated noteworthy effort with their reading in Term 1. Every child also received a certificate on return to class to celebrate their individual reading achievements for Term 1, recognising their word count, having achieved an average percentage correct score of 85-100% or achieving or exceeding their points target. We celebrate everyone’s reading achievements in St. Comgall’s. And finally, at Assembly, Mrs Cunningham drew a lucky winner from each class’ 100% AR quiz box to choose a brand new book from Vera, our Reading Book vending machine. Great reading everyone! Keep it up over the Christmas holidays!
