P4C’s Busy and Creative Week

Through the eyes of a Child- This week, P4C has been delving into our theme, “Through the Eyes of a Child,” by learning about evacuees during World War II. The children embraced the topic, creating their own evacuee name tags and drawing detailed pictures of all the items they would pack in their suitcases. It was a fascinating way for them to imagine life without modern-day luxuries like iPads and tablets, prompting lots of thought-provoking discussions. Weaving for Eco Week- As part of Eco Week, the children put their creativity to good use. They tore scrap materials into strips and wove them together onto recycled card, forming beautiful patterns. This fantastic activity not only reinforced our Eco Week values but also connected perfectly with our main theme by highlighting the “Make do and Mend” ethos of the wartime era. We look forward to stitching all our woven pieces together to create a full patchwork quilt. Getting Active with 10 at 10- The entire school came together to take part in our special ’10 at 10′ session for Emotional Health and Wellbeing. At 10am, we all downed tools, got up from our seats, and enjoyed 10 minutes of fun and energetic fitness exercises. It was a great way to boost our energy and promote a healthy start to the day. Teamwork in Multi-Sports- During PE this week, P4C had a fantastic session with our multi-sports coach. The focus was on teamwork and listening skills, which the children practiced brilliantly in a variety of fun, team-based activities. It was great to see everyone encouraging each other and working together towards a common goal.
