In P6B, children have been busy blending history with technology as they explored the Great Irish Famine of 1845-1852. In groups, pupils researched the causes and consequences of the famine and uncovered how this tragic event shaped Ireland and its people. The children worked in groups and used Google Slides to present their findings collaboratively and creatively. They combined text, images and animations to bring their research to life. Each group showcased their work by presenting to the class. After the presentations, pupils reviewed their work, discussing what went well and how they could improve next time. Not only did the children deepen their understanding of this significant chapter in history, but they strengthened their digital skills, teamwork, and confidence in presenting.
