Children engaged in 5 workshops to help children stay safe and manage risks. BeeSafe is a fun and interactive safety programme led by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council to help primary school children learn how to stay safe and avoid risky situations, especially as they get ready to move on to secondary school. Delivered with support from local partners including the PSNI, Fire and Rescue Service, Translink and health professionals, the sessions covered everyday topics such as internet safety, home and fire safety, water safety, wellbeing, bus safety and healthy eating. Through hands-on activities, demonstrations and opportunities to ask questions, children gained practical advice and confidence to help keep themselves safe at home, online and in their community.
