On Friday 12th August, all our P7s went to Antrim Primary School to “Connect” with our new Shared Education classes. When we were there we had the chance to meet new friends and learn each other’s names! After this we all went to the school Assembly hall for a talk with Noel from Arc21. Arc21 are involved in recycling in our local area and using special key pads we took part in an informative quiz. Each team was made up of some pupils from St. Comgalls and some pupils from Antrim Primary. We learned about how Antrim and Newtownabbey are the best council for recycling, what sorts of items can be recycled and what happens our rubbish when it is brought to a Material Recovery Centre (MRF). After the quiz results were announced and prizes were given out we all went to the playground for break time play together. We had a lot of fun this morning and are looking forward to connecting with our friends again soon!
