It has been a real pleasure to welcome back Alfie McNally, a past pupil now thriving at St Benedict’s, for a week of work experience. I had the privilege of teaching Alfie in Primary 5 back in 2019, and it has been wonderful to see how much he has grown. This week, he has been exceptional—confidently teaching our pupils how to count to 100 in Irish, sharing basic greetings, exploring the days of the week, and introducing the names of different sports. His enthusiasm, patience, and natural ability to connect with the children have truly shone through. Alfie shows all the qualities needed to become an inspiring Irish teacher in the future. Beidh sé ina mhúinteoir Gaeilge den scoth amach anseo. Go raibh maith agat, Alfie.
