Our P7 pupils enjoyed a wonderfully uplifting and energetic Retreat Day today as they continued their preparations for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation next week. We were delighted to welcome Sarah, Sue and Jay from Youth Initiatives, who led the day in St Comgall’s Parish Centre with enthusiasm, encouragement and plenty of fun! Throughout the retreat, the P7s took part in interactive games, discussions and activities that helped deepen their understanding of; who the Holy Spirit is, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, the Fruits of the Holy Spirit and what Confirmation really means for them as young people of faith. The day concluded with a special visit to St Comgall’s Church, where pupils had the opportunity to see the Oil of Chrism that Bishop Alan McGuckian will use during the Confirmation ceremony next week. Fr Dawid also offered a blessing for the children as they continue their journey of faith. It was a fun-filled, reflective and inspiring experience for all involved. A huge thank you to Youth Initiatives for guiding our pupils so thoughtfully and making the retreat both meaningful and enjoyable.
