Grandparents’ Day is always a highlight of Catholic Schools’ Week, and this year was no different. On Tuesday 20th January, Fr Emerson celebrated Mass to give us the opportunity to thank our grandparents for all that they do. Thank you to our pupils who enhanced the celebration through Readings, Prayers of the Faithful and participation in the Offertory Procession. Our pupils also sang a special song to their Grandparents, thanking them for all they do, and for being in their life. Following Mass, we treated our Grandparents to tea, coffee, scones and traybakes and some time for a sit down and a catch up. Thank you, as always, to our wonderful Canteen staff, for providing a delicious spread, and to our LSA Team for helping with serving and keeping everyone’s cup filled. Finally, our Grandparents visited their grandchildren in their classrooms to see the work that they do. Some of our Grandparents were even presented with a beautiful piece of art from their grandchild. A truly special morning in St. Comgall’s to thank our Grandparents for all their support!
