Catherine Black from Tiny Life presented us with The Tiny Learners Award today, which raises awareness of the impact of prematurity on development and learning, and supports pupils who have been born prematurely or who start life in a neonatal unit, to reach their educational potential.  Funded and supported by the Department of Education, NI, it enhances the skills of professionals working in Health and Education.  We are delighted to have undertaken this work, and move forward with increased knowledge and understanding of the needs of children born pre-term, and an awareness of evidence-based strategies to support them throughout their educational journey.
