On Tuesday 19th May, P1–P4 pupils celebrated World Culture Day, exploring the rich diversity within our school community.
Pupils enjoyed workshops led by parents and staff, learning about countries including China, India, Jordan, Nigeria, Pakistan, The Philippines, Poland and Slovakia. They explored languages such as Igbo, Arabic, Urdu, Malayalam, Polish, Slovakian, Chinese, Filipino/Tagalog and BSL Sign Language. They learned greetings, stories and traditions from around the world.
The day also included lively cultural activities, from Classical Indian and Céilí dancing to creating colourful Indian prints. Pupils were delighted by a vibrant display of international foods prepared by our canteen staff.
It was a joyful and enriching day that deepened pupils’ understanding of diversity and inclusion.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and staff who helped make the day so memorable.
